Buy My Scooter was created so people could buy and sell new and used motor scooters. The goal of Buy My Scooter is to connect those who no longer need their motor scooter (for example: graduating seniors) with those who are looking to save money by not having to purchase a brand new scooter (for example: incoming freshman).

If you have or will be purchasing a motor scooter that you know you will be reselling in a few years, then you need to be enrolled in our log keeping service!

How does the log keeping service work?

It's easy! All you have to do is fill out and submit this application and pay the service fee. Once completed, we will create a file in our office for you. Anytime you bring your scooter in for standard maintenance or any service, we will place a copy of your dated receipt in your file. Finally, when you are ready to sell your motor scooter, you can list your scooter on BuyMyScooter.com and we will place your service log on your listing!

To make things easier, you can purchase a Maintenance Package. Pay for all your scheduled maintenance in advance, receive a bulk discount, and never have to worry about paying for your scheduled maintenance when you bring your scooter in. You come in, we service your scooter, we automatically place a copy of your receipt in your log, and you are ready to go until your next maintenance is due! Why is it important to have a log?

1. When you decide to sell your scooter, potential purchasers will be more likely to buy your scooter over another seller's scooter because he/she will see that you have taken care of your scooter by having it regularly and appropriately serviced.

2. You have our company supporting you and personally inserting your log into your future Buy My Scooter listing, therefore you will have legitimate proof that you have cared for your scooter.

3. Higher resale value! By taking care of your scooter and having it serviced on a regular schedule, you will be able to get more money for your scooter when you decide to sell it!

Choose a Maintenance Package. The following maintenance packages are split into two sections: 4-stroke scooter packages and 2-stroke scooter packages. Package prices vary based on which type of scooter you have, package size, and package length.

If you are unsure whether you have a 2-stroke or 4-stroke scooter, here is a brief explanation of the difference:

- A 2-stroke motor scooter requires a mixture of 2-cycle oil with the gasoline. In older mopeds and scooters, you used to have to physically mix the oil with the gasoline and put it in the scooter. Newer 2-stroke scooters have a separate 2-cycle oil container and all you have to do is keep that container filled. As you drive the scooter, the oil will be injected into the gasoline at the proper ratio as you drive.
- 4-stroke motor scooters do not require any of this. All you have to do is put gasoline in and go. However, with a 4-stroke motor scooter, you have to have the oil changed every few months like you do with a car.

The maintenance packages prices vary based on scooter type. The 4-stroke maintenance packages cost a little more because they include all of the necessary oil changes.

Maintenance Log and Package Instructions

Maintenance Logs and Packages can be purchased at anytime. Each package covers logs and maintenance for 2 or 4 years from date of purchase or specified date. All maintenance log and/or package purchases are final. Money cannot be refunded for any reason. Packages can be changed to upgraded packages within the first year for an additional $25 fee and the additional cost of the upgraded package. After one year has passed, maintenance package cannot be changed for any reason. Extensions to package plans for additional years can be arranged at a discounted rate. Please contact us if you need to extend your package.

Each package follows a schedule and must follow its particular schedule. For example, if a package includes 4 batteries, a customer cannot receive all 4 batteries within 1 year. Customer would receive 1 battery every year. If a customer misses scheduled oil changes, etc. they cannot be made up at a later date. It is the customer's responsibility to make sure he/she brings his/her scooter in for scheduled maintenance as necessary and according to his/her scooters maintenance schedule.

Customer is responsible for making sure address and phone number on file remains up to date. A valid credit card for each customer must be kept on file, but will never be charged without customer's authorization.
